Research summary
Development of historical geography targeted at modern Japan and digital humanities using history GIS Study on the restoration and change of modern Japanese landscape using history GIS. Urban history of Kyoto, the relationship between nature and humans, and disaster response are being studied through the deciphering of the landscape. In addition, with interest in digital humanities, approach is being taken to establish a digital archive of memories related to living in Kyoto before the high growth period. Target is to practice interdisciplinary research of various fields related to the place “Kyoto”.
