Research summary
Sound Art and Musical Research in the Latter Half of the Twentieth-Century My research on musical culture in the United States after WWII is focusing on two topics: sound art and music psychology. In the former, I do research on Max Neuhaus (1939–2009), who was a pioneer of sound installation, to consider the boundary between music and art. In the latter, my research interest lies in the interdisciplinary relationship between music psychology and other academic fields. The results of these studies will provide a new perspective for music historiography.
