Research summary
Optical and electronic properties of atomic layer scale nano-structures and their device application Atomically thin 2D-materials is important for future device application because they show unusual properties comparing with bulk materials. For instance, graphene shows tremendous mobility due to the linear band dispersion called “Dirac dispersion”. I have studied optical and electronic properties of these 2D-materials and their application for future electronic devices such as solar cell or laser, LED and so on. Interplay between 2D materials and other semiconductors or stacking of 2D materials are essential to develop such devises. Current study 1. Fabrication of novel semiconductor structure using Van der waals epitaxy 2. Optical and electronic properties of Van der waals hetero structure towards device application
