Research summary
Study of localization, social responsibility and social strategy of multi-national corporations, study of business ethics and international management Till now, I have been conducting surveys and overseas fieldwork, while being involved in working in a company, on the creation of public value, a new concept. From there, today, where movements by the companies are being seen in making approaches to social needs and issues to create public value, my studies are being made on how new management aimed at public value should be. A framework of how a company and society should be will be presented, and the importance of balancing corporate profits and public shall be considered, and by incorporating these in a global field of view and conducting studies, my aim is to generalize the theory. The study is broken down into three following major related areas, and are approached with problem awareness. ① Public management studies: Study will be conducted on the relationship between the society and companies with its axis on publicness closely related to BOP (bottom of the pyramid) business gaining importance in recent years, crisis management and BCP (business continuity plan) that drew attention after the Great East Japan earthquake. ② International business administration studies: Regarding the overseas advances made by multi-national corporations and their localized management, there is a need not only to pursue corporate profits in making overseas advances, but a need to promote social strategy that match the political and economic background of the host nation. Study will be made on the effects of Non marketing strategy adopted by Japanese companies in the advances into China on to global management. ③ Labor personnel economics: The relationship between HRM (human resource management) and the stakeholders have not been studies even though it is a domain where both management and economy are interconnected. From the point of view of publicness of companies, study will be made on how HRM and the stakeholders are related and what kind of impact the relation will have on the company, using analysis from an economic approach.
