1.	Strategies for disaster prevention planning methods for preserving historical districts/villages

Research summary
Strategies for disaster prevention planning methods for preserving historical districts/villages in East Asia Preservation techniques, including preservation and disaster prevention for Japan's historic districts/villages, have been motivated to overcome unfavorable conditions for preservation, such as dense wooden historical buildings. It is considered that residents' awareness and lifestyle patterns are important factors in determining the direction of disaster prevention planning in historical districts/villages. Therefore, I focus on constructing a system that can easily derive the direction of disaster prevention planning suitable for the historical districts/villages, based upon using disaster prevention characteristics of historical districts/villages, and residents' characteristics as input conditions. It could be applied to the preservation of historical districts/villages in East Asia as a disaster prevention planning method, starting with China, Southeast Asia, and other regions where historical districts/villages have much in common in disaster prevention characteristics. I am currently incorporating such research and development through practice in historical districts/villages.
