History of postwar Japanese Literature History
My research has examined how the translation of Japanese literature in contemporary China has been deeply involved in the formation and transformation of Chinese politics, economy, society, culture, and the collective memory and mentality of the people, shedding light on the history of the mutual shaping of Japanese literature translation and contemporary Chinese society.
Going forward, I intend to grasp the realities of the various direct and indirect contacts, exchanges, influences, frictions, conflicts, and exclusions that existed between postwar Japanese and mainland Chinese literature and art, and to highlight the overall picture of postwar Sino-Japanese literary relations.
Furthermore, I would like to focus on so-called marginal literature, such as leprosy literature, Minamata disease literature, atomic bomb literature, war literature, Okinawan literature, and Buraku literature, and explore the construction of a new literary history and the possibilities of comparative literature.

The appeal of this research lies in its international, interdisciplinary and mysterious nature. You need to know about China, Japan, and the world. Not only literature, but all knowledge and sensibilities related to human beings, such as politics, history, society, economy, human psychology, consciousness, and emotions are required. Understanding how humans live in the tough history in the real world and in fiction is the real thrill of literary research.
